Large portions of lightly cooked vegetables twice or three times daily. Vegetables should not be crunchy, as this means they are not cooked well and still have too much intact cellulose, which is difficult to digest.

At least two tablespoons of a high-quality fat or oil for adults with every meal. More is acceptable if desired, as long as one does not overeat. If one has been told by his doctor not to eat cholesterol, one can usually eat vegetable oil that contain no cholesterol. These include olive oil, toasted almond butter, free-range eggs that contain much less cholesterol. Usually cholesterol levels decline rapidly on nutritional balancing programs, even if one eats lots of meat and full-fat dairy products.

For adults, have 4-6 ounces of concentrated protein food once or twice daily. The total intake of protein should be at least 40 grams or more.

Reduce, or preferably eliminate all sugars from diet. These include all fruits, especially dried fruits and all fruit juices as well. Also avoid artificial sweeteners, if possible.

Reduce or eliminate most heavy starches such as grains. Also limit starchy vegetables such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams and parsnips. Regular potatoes are never recommneded

Rationale: According to research by Dr. George Watson and Paul Eck, fast oxidizers are in an early stage of stress. Their adrenal and thyroid glads tend to be very active and they burn their food faster. They will often crave starches and sweets if they do not eat enough fats and oils with each meal. The high-quality fats and oils:

  • Digest and release energy slowly. This tends to keep blood sugar stable and helps reduce a fast oxidation rate.
  • Provide acetates. These are high-energy compounds found only in fats and a few other products which are needed for fast oxidizers.
  • In contrast, sugars and starches burn too fast, tend to upset the blood sugar and can increase an already rapid oxidation rate. Sweets and starches may also lower tissue calcium, magnesium and zinc. These minerals already tend to be low in fast oxidizers.
